Mom battling breast cancer needs our help

Kellie Willette Berube is a wife, mother and friend to so many. Kellie is my sister and she is beginning her battle with breast cancer and needs our support. Kellie is the second sister in the same family to have been diagnosed with breast cancer in one year. She is one of the kindest most giving people you could ever meet. Kellie is a self-employed massage therapist and reiki practitioner at Love is in the Hair in Augusta. When she is not working to help heal her clients, she also homeschools her 9 year old son while making sure he gets to karate, sports and other activities.

She has already had one extensive surgery and faces another surgery once she has recovered enough from the first. She has a long recovery period ahead which will keep her out of work for at least a few months before she is even able to begin cancer treatments as necessary. Being out of work for that long could be challenging at best for most, however, when you are self-employed it could be devastating. Kellie is a very humble person who constantly gives of herself without expecting or wanting anything in return. She has given so much to the Augusta community and those she knows and loves that Kellie’s family and friends would like to help ease the burden for her and her family a bit while she is facing this battle.
