Mom and husband fire loss fund.

On the evening of Febuaray 3, 2018, a fire broke out on the 600 Block of Main Street, in Stroudsburg. It started with a jewelry store, and worked it’s way up and over towards the other apartments on block unfortanetly.
Sadly, my mom and her husband were some of ones lives would be changed that evening. By Sunday, Febuary 4th, 2018, the damage was done by 4 AM. After a 5 hour battle, the fire destroyed the jewlery store. And the smoke and water carried over into my moms building in her apartment. Other tenants in her building were also, sadly affected.
But the afternoon of Febuary 4th, brought in a massive snow storm which caved the ceiling and floors in the building.
Sadly, most of her items are lost. Furniture and things can be replaced. But the biggest issue we now have is, temporary lodging, clothing, food and prescriptions.
I still hope we can find her another safe place to live with this as well.
I hope we are not asking for much, but these repairs are going to take awhile the landlord said. It could be maybe even a year before it’s fixed. It could be almost a year before she can possibly even get back into her house. She is temporarily in a hotel for the week, provided by the Red Cross. Of course, it won’t be a forever thing.
But we still need to find her a place to stay and make another home, and maybe help with food and other expenses. As well as clothing for them. As most of it was sadly lost in the damage. Prescriptions that are so important to there physical and mental help, were lost in the damage. I don’t want to see my mom and her husband on the streets, and I know I can’t do this alone. I appreciate anybody who would be willing to share or read this. And maybe even donate. Thank you. God bless all of you.
