Mom and Daughter Lose Their Home to Fire
Donation protected
WE NEED YOUR HELP! Will you help a single mom and her teenage daughter? Fire and smoke damage wiped out Tammy and Gia's apartment in Phoenix on May 17, and we need our friends to rally to help our granddaughter and daughter-in-law rebuild their lives. Please?

Although they weren't home at the time, the family dog, Phoebe, was there and had to be rescued by firefighters. Tammy and Gia arrived home a short time later to see the fire crews battling to put out the smoke and fire.

The photos cannot begin to show the extensive destruction caused by the fire in the walls and the pervasive greasy smoke damage to literally all of their possessions. Most cannot be salvaged. Their unit suffered the most damage in the building complex .

Imagine all this greasy soot on their clothes, photographs, art, books, linens, and furniture!

Repairs to the building aren't expected to be finished for at least 5 months. They are moving to a new rental on July 1st. Meanwhile, mother, daughter and dog are staying in a hotel, but aren't sure where they will go after June 11, when insurance money will end.
Costs to clean up this family's unit and place them in a hotel is expected to use up the renter's insurance cap. Most of the furniture, beds and bedding, kitchenware and clothing are a total loss. This family is in need of help to replace items that insurance, most likely, won't cover. The estimated amount they will need is $7,500. They will appreciate any amount you can donate.
