My name is Danilynn, I’m 22 years old. Molly is my dog, she’s a 10 year old lab/corgi mix. I rescued her when she was just 2 months old from a shelter. She’s the sweetest girl. She’s still beyond playful, eats well and has no issues going to the bathroom, thankfully. She originally had a surgery in 2021, to have a lump/tumor removed from her thigh, as it was cancerous. We did not have much time to act on it. We aren’t sure if the cancer is still present at that location.

Unfortunately, earlier yesterday, out of nowhere Molly couldn’t walk. Her back right leg (where the new lump grew) gave out, we were able to cover costs for her blood work and medication, but I’m afraid the surgery may be extremely costly since it is an emergency last minute situation. I hate asking for help but we all know how expensive vet bills can become. Her surgery consult went well after having x-rays and bloodwork. She is ready for surgery, we would just love to meet our goal. Her first surgery was 3,500. Her new bills have already racked up between the bloodwork, consult, meds and x-rays, to almost 1,400 alone. Along with this next surgery being between 3,500-3,600. I did not want to have to remove the newer lump, but now that it is in her way it seems we have no choice. She had also slightly injured her other hind leg from the stress and pressure on the bad leg. Which may need another procedure, hopefully that leg can heal at home. If she doesn’t fully recover from this, I worry her health may decline more so.

Any help is appreciated. I am currently not working consistently, as my type of work/job does not always have openings/opportunities. My mom is currently dealing with her own medical bills and I don’t usually ask for help, I haven’t had an issue so far until now. I graduated college in 2022, and my work since has been on/off. I would appreciate any help at all, as I understand it is not easy. I’d do anything to save my pup from pain and give her more time here. She means everything to me.
