My name is Molly Aranda and I just recently tested positive for the bacteria that causes Lyme Disease.  It is often called "the great imitator" because it hides in your body causing multi system problems and pain that masquerade as MS, rhematoid arthritis, fibromyaglia, and chronic depression.

After almost eight years of debilitating symptoms including vertigo, numbness and tingling in my legs and feet, migraines, hormonal imbalances, depression, muscle pain, and extreme fatigue I am seeing hope in this new diagnosis.  It will include about two years of antibiotic regimens, digestive support, clean eating, and other techniques to support the immune system.

Unfortunately, this diagnosis is clouded in political controversy and currently insurance companies are denying all coverage and costs for testing and treatment.  In addition to bills streaming in from recent MRI's and mammograms related to hormonal problems, all treatment and appointment costs are out of pocket. 

I have an appointment in two weeks with a Lyme Specialist in Missouri but the upfront out of pocket cost is $900.  There will be constant antibiotic therapy for two years, multiple supplements, and more. In addition, I had to pay $600 for the Lyme lab work.   I simply don't have this money but the next available appointment is at the end of October.  With five young children any help paying these bills would be incredible.

I have hope that with the help of this doctor and God's grace I will start on the path to recovery and I won't be plagued by daily pain, headaches, and fatigue from this chronic illness.  I look forward to days of running, exercising, and even just walking without limping and pain.
