Molly the Retired Lab Beagle get IVDD Surgery

Donation protected

Hi, my name is Danielle and my retired research beagle Molly is in desperate need of a neurology consult and surgery for her progressing intervertebral disc disease. For those of you that don’t know what IVDD is, it’s when one or more discs in the spinal cord become compressed, which causes nerve and spinal pain eventually leading to complete paralysis. Molly is currently in stage II of IVDD but is quickly deteriorating, she has a great chance of having a successful surgery which will allow her to live a longer, pain free happier life. To put it into numbers 90% of patients who receive this surgery are successful and live a much happier life afterwards. However this whole process is quite expensive and is too much for me to do on my own. She is my whole world and is the sweetest beagle around, she’s gone through a lot for only being a 6yr old retired research beagle. Sadly, for the first 2.5 years of her life Molly and many other beagles unfortunately lived in a lab and were part of research studies for experiments. Additionally, Molly herself was a mother to litters before she and the many other beagles were rescued from such a horrible life. When I first met her I instantly fell in love. Watching her and all the other beagles touch grass for the first time and learning how to play was by far a memorable and touching experience. She now lives a happy life and has so much more life to live, she and I just need a little help to get her what she needs in order to continue to live that life. I’m not well-off by any means and cannot possibly afford this on my own, if there’s anyone who can donate to help my girl live her happy beagle life I’m asking for assistance and will cherish it greatly. All funds are going to go directly to her consultations, MRI’s, and surgery that I can promise. I thank each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart for even reading this, and if you can’t donate I ask for you to keep my precious girl in your thoughts and prayers.

We are currently at the ER right now and she is getting treatment/pain management to keep her comfortable for the time being. I’m doing everything I can to make sure she gets the help and care she needs right now but Im in need of a little help. If she gets this surgery I will post her recovery process with pictures and videos so you all can keep up to date on my little beans healing process.
