Miracles for Molly

Donation protected
It has been almost three years since Molly was first diagnosed with terminal, stage 4 ovarian cancer. She has, miraculously, been considered cancer free for nearly two and a half years now. But that peace of mind has coming crashing to the ground, once again as more cancer was discovered early this year.

When Molly's cancer was first discovered it had already metastasized and spread to other parts of her body. Her team of doctors went to work immediately with heavy doses of carefully formulated chemotherapy, and major surgery to remove as much cancer as possible, her community went to work providing prayers and meals and financial support to help relieve the daily worries of a family so that they could focus all their efforts on fighting this cancer and spending quality time together. We quickly adopted the phrase Miracles for Molly, as that was exactly what she needed, a miracle. As her battle went on, we saw God’s hand in all of the efforts on her behalf and a miracle is what was delivered. After 6 rounds of chemotherapy and a very dangerous surgery that included a direct chemotherapy rinse through her body, she was considered cancer free. She continued in her maintenance treatments for two years, diligently receiving infusions every two weeks to keep the cancer away. Her body had been through a lot and there were definitely side effects from her battle, but she was grateful to be alive and feeling well.

Last November she made the decision to move forward with a recommended full hip replacement. As January rolled around and she was feeling good and was hoping she could get back to normal activity and a small break from the medical care when her worst fears were confirmed. In her most recent CT scan, it was discovered that Molly’s cancer has returned and is showing throughout her abdomen, with concentration in three areas. Her liver, spleen and diaphragm are the most concerning at this time. Needless to say, she needs another miracle. Her doctors are doing their part to help provide their side of her treatment and she has already received one round of Chemotherapy. We are hoping her community can, once again, rally together to help Molly and Mark and their three young girls fight back against this awful disease that has already stolen so much time from their lives. This family has sacrificed so much to be where they are today. They couldn’t do it without the support from their loved ones. We know so many people were able to help last time and want to help again, so if you are able, in any way possible it would be the greatest blessing to this well deserving family.
