4 Pit Bulls Attacked Molly & Marisa
Molly, a 6 year old cockapoo dog, and her owner Marisa were attacked by four pit bulls on May 1st at Idylwood Park in Redmond. Marisa had just opened her car door to let her friendly small dogs Molly and Kamala out of her car, when four vicious pit bulls charged from across the parking lot and started violently attacking Molly. Marisa did the best she could to save her precious dog Molly, but the pit bulls wouldn’t stop attacking and the pit bulls’ owner could not stop them. The pit bulls’ owner had let go of their leashes once the attack started. The pit bulls were completely uncontrollable. At one point, one pit bull had taken a bite into Molly’s ear, one pit bull bit deeply into Molly’s bottom and another was pulling on her tail. They were shaking Molly, pulling her apart, trying to tear her into pieces.
When Marisa tried to save Molly, three of the pit bulls began attacking Marisa. The pit bulls bit very deeply into Marisa’s calf, shook her leg ferociously, and would not let go. Other pit bulls attacked other parts of Marisa’s body. Marisa got bitten in 6 places with 20 deep puncture wounds. The pit bulls also wounded three other people try to break up the fight.
Three random people walking by stepped in to help and were also injured by the pit bulls. They and other witnesses were horrified and outraged by the aggressive, brutal pit bulls. Poor Molly is in critical condition at the vet hospital fighting for her life. She has had multiple surgeries, and may require more revisions. We are praying for her to survive this.
The vet bill is $25,000 for Molly so far, and it continues to grow. Marisa also has costly medical expenses with urgent care and the ER. Marisa has returned home from the hospital and will recover, but she will have some scarring. The vet is concerned about Molly’s wounds, and the extensiveness of her injuries might cause her to be incontinent. Nurses and doctors monitor her around the clock to try to prevent infections like sepsis and monitor her vitals very closely. We are hoping for the best and Marisa will do whatever she can to help Molly get through this.
The owner of the pit bulls has fled town with the dogs and is nowhere to be found. Even if she locates the owner, since he is unemployed, Marisa likely won’t be able to recover her costs because it would be difficult to get any money from him. The other possible owner is now denying pet ownership or any responsibility. Small claims court might get a tiny amount back, but it would only cover a quarter of Molly’s vet bill as it is.
This has been the most traumatic and tragic event of Marisa’s life, and we are praying for Molly. Any donations you can give would be very much appreciated by Marisa (and Molly!) I, Kristina Dana (her sister in law), created this GoFundMe for Marisa because she’s not in the state of mind to do it for herself. All donations will go directly to her so she can pay all bills. All she can do right now is worry about Molly’s survival.Marisa’s bitten leg
