Molly & Alex Relocate and Restart

Donation protected
Molly and Alex were recently fired for speaking up about Black Lives Matter. They used social media to advocate for an end to racism in response to an aggressive blue lives matter parade in Tannersville, NY.  Alex was fired from the position as Farm Manager and Molly's lease on her food truck was terminated effective immediately for the same reason and the hand of the same foundation. Molly and Alex were given no severance for relocation and job loss, and are forced to vacate their housing in two weeks, amidst a pandemic. They both make concentrated income during a short, 5-6 month peak season period due to the nature of their work. Their work has been terminated mid-season.

They need to cover unexpected moving costs, new housing expenses, loss of income, and basic living expenses for the coming months. Due to the pandemic, and the mid- season date of their terminations,  there are limited to no stable salaried full time positions available in farming and cooking.

Prior to the abrupt termination of their work, Molly and Alex increased the presence of client diversity, increased biodiversity, brought nourishing food offerings to a limited foodscape, cultivated covid-safe spaces for people to feel in community, and spoke up for marginalized community members, all in commitment to the wellbeing of others.

They recognize they are white women that gives them inherited privilege and in a pandemic that is affecting people of color at disproportionate rates. They thank you for all the support.
