Mollie Vigeant Recovery Fund

Donation protected
On October 23rd Mollie had a severe stroke caused by a blockage to a major brain artery. Doctors were able to remove the clot and blood flow was restored, but the lack of blood to Mollie's brain over the course of several hours caused damage to her brain.

Doctors are unsure what caused the blood clot and are still working to figure that out. She is in the ICU and her medical team is still assessing the extent of the brain damage. WE NEED A MIRACLE.

Although there is hope for recovery long-term, at this time Mollie has close to no mobility on her right side, she can’t speak or swallow (she has a feeding tube), and is unable to sit up by herself. She has been able to understand basic instructions and nod yes to questions. She was able to spell out Lev's name today using her left hand. Right now it looks like she will be moved at the end of the week to in-patient rehab where she will get PT, OT and speech therapy daily.

Adam has been by her side as much as possible and is completely exhausted but still radiating light, love, and hope during this very dark moment. Lev is staying with Mollie's sister, close to the hospital so Adam can be with him for a few hours each day.

At this time we are expecting at least 10-12 weeks (possibly more) of full-time inpatient rehab care. We want to help cover the costs of Adam and Lev living temporarily away from their home to be close to Mollie and the other costs in Mollie’s path to recovery.

Let's circle the wagons and show our love for Mollie, Adam and Lev during this very difficult time!

PRAYERS NEEDED!!!
For answers about where the clot came from, for healing for her right side, for movement of her tongue, for Adam’s peace, for Lev to feel his mothers love in the care of his other family

We will post periodic updates here.

-----Update 10/27-----

We are so overwhelmed with the love, support and generosity! Thank you for being a light for our family in this dark moment.

Mollie is still in the ICU but was alert yesterday and Adam was encouraged by her responses to him. She was able to sit up by herself during a visit with her mom, and stand with a lot of help. They are taking blood every 6 hours to check her various levels, and since her blood levels were low from the surgery on Saturday, the constant draws have impacted her ability to regrow blood. They gave her a unit of blood this morning which will hopefully help her feel stronger.

Adam reported that she smiled at him this morning ❤️❤️❤️

We rented an Airbnb close to the hospital and rehab facility for Adam to use as a home base for the next two months, so he can be close to Mollie and have a quiet place to hang out with Lev when they have time together.

It is looking like she will most likely be transferred to inpatient rehab some time in the next 4-5 days. This is where Mollie will continue the hard work of gaining back mobility, language, and other skills.

We appreciate your continued prayers!
