Molding Success: Baltimore Lab Project's Studio Buildout
Donation protected
For the past three years, Baltimore Lab Project has been more than just a dance program. It has been a safe, creative, and empowering space where young people can grow through the art of dance. This vision has been sustained almost entirely by the dedication and sacrifice of our founder, De’asia Ellis, who has poured not only her time and talent, and resources into ensuring that Baltimore youth have the opportunity to participate. De’asia has covered a great deal of costs out of her own pocket so that no child was turned away due to financial hardship, a true testament to her unwavering commitment to the Baltimore Lab Project family & Baltimore Community.
Now, as we prepare to take the next big step by opening our very own studio, we need the community’s support. To launch our new space this October, we must raise $7,000 by August 30th to begin essential renovations. Beyond that, an additional $13,000 is needed by September 20th to fully complete the build-out, including equipment, ballet barres, and professional flooring—critical pieces that will ensure our dancers have a safe and inspiring environment to train, grow and perform.
At Baltimore Lab Project, our motto is “where imperfection is molded into success.” This belief is at the heart of everything we do: creating a space where young people can learn, grow, and discover their potential without the pressure of perfection. With your support, we can continue this mission on a larger scale and open the doors of a studio that will serve the community for years to come.
Please help us mold this place into success!
