Mold Remediation Expenses

Hello, This is really hard for me to do....ask for help, but unfortunately I need to for my families health. I have had health issues for awhile now and in the past 3 months my son has missed a day or a half a day of school almost every week due to headaches, stomach aches, dizziness and exhaustion. I had his blood tested for mold exposure after my doctor did the same for me and found levels to be high. My son's levels were 2x the highest level to be considered safe. My husband has open sores and rash all over his body and I suffer from headaches, stiffness and facial shocks. I am horrified that I have not figured this out sooner and have put all of us at risk. We called a Mold Remediation specialist and fortunately it is surface mold (I say fortunately because mold in the walls would mean we are sleeping in tents :)) in the basement, bathroom and under the kitchen sink. ( too bad to keep the sink and counter so we also have the expense of tearing that all out) The quote we were give is understandable, it is a risky job and must be done thoroughly, we wouldn't want to pay for a half-ass job, but it is a cost we can not afford at this time. We need to schedule the appointment ASAP because it could be up to 2 weeks before anyone can come do it and our basement is our living, art and spare bedroom space. I do not want to explain our financial situation, but I can promise you, we would NEVER ask for help if it wasn't desperately needed. And when we can we will pay it forward.
