As part of our campaign to raise funds for Mojos Bar to future proof the historic venue, we are calling for support from our community. In return, all contributions over $50 will get a Mojos Membership with some perks, plus you will support the transition to a vibrant music bar - one that's open to everyone and becomes a space that will support musicians and artists for generations to come.

Our Venue

Mojos Bar has been the beating heart of Fremantle’s live music scene for over 30 years.

We’re not just a venue. We’re a launchpad for emerging artists, a sanctuary for local musicians, and a gathering place for creatives, music lovers, and community, and a special part of North Freo’s soul. If you’ve ever discovered your new favourite band or had a night you’ll never forget on our wooden floors, you probably know how invaluable Mojos is to the community.

Now we need your help - not just to survive, but to grow into something even stronger that can sustain itself for future generations of music lovers.

Why We’re Asking

Live music venues everywhere are struggling. Rising costs, from rent and insurance to production and staffing, are threatening even the most beloved spots. The delayed ramifications of the pandemic are seeing a pull on people's purse strings, drinking alcohol less and consuming music in different ways. But the love for live music hasn’t gone anywhere. Artists still want to play here. People still want to gather. We just need to create a space that can support that and broaden our avenues of income and create community in ways people want to connect with.

The Next Chapter of Mojos

Under new local ownership, we’re transforming Mojos into a music bar that's open more hours, whether there’s a show on or not.

We’re building a new kitchen that will serve Tony’s family-style Greek-Cypriot food, helping us draw in more customers during the day and night. We've adding a back bar so people can come in for a drink anytime, even if the band room is booked for a show. That means more people in the venue, more reasons to drop by, and more ways to support live music.

And perhaps most excitingly, we’re launching a record store inside the venue. This way we can celebrate vinyl, spotlight local artists, and build a deeper, more connected music community in Fremantle. It'll be North Fremantle's first and only vinyl record store.

These aren’t just renovations. They’re the foundations of a new business model one that makes Mojos more resilient, more welcoming, and more capable of supporting live music for generations to come. A place for all.
