Introducing Glenn Marais and The Mojo Train, led by Juno-nominated singer/songwriter Glenn Marais on guitar and vocals. The Mojo Train is a band that is dedicated not just to their music, but also to their commitment to their community.

During the early days of the COVID pandemic, the band took action. They filmed a powerful video for their song, "What the World Needs Now," and launched a fundraising campaign that raised $1500 for the Newmarket Food Pantry and another $1500 for the Blue Door Shelter. Their dedication to supporting those in need didn't stop there.
In the fight against bullying, the band produced an anti-bullying video called "Say My Name," which garnered an impressive 2.5 million views. They conducted a national anti-bullying campaign focused on assisting the youth in their area. Additionally, their groundbreaking Black History Program has reached schools throughout York Region, inspiring social justice advocacy and helping young individuals in the community.
Most recently, Bassist Manny De Grandis and Glenn Marais established MusicCan, a non-profit organization that provides instruments and lessons to local youth. They have generously donated over a dozen guitars, keyboards, fiddles, banjos, and three months' worth of lessons to four deserving students. Glenn Marais has also raised over $100,000 for the Stephen Lewis Foundation through his touching song, "Like a Child," and music video filmed in Southern Africa.

Now, Exciting news! Glenn Marais and The Mojo Train have earned the honor of representing the Grand River Blues Society and Canada in the prestigious International Blues Competition in Memphis, scheduled for January 2024. This is an incredible opportunity for the band, and they have already started planning and fundraising at their live shows. Every spare dime has been dedicated to their music, and they have utilized their tips over the past two years to help cover recording costs. However, they need your support to make The Mojo Train to Memphis journey a reality and leave a lasting impact on the industry.

The Mojo Train is currently halfway through recording their new record and require assistance to complete: recording, mixing, mastering, and production. The goal is to have the finished record with CDs in hand to bring to Memphis in January.
Glenn Marais and The Mojo Train warmly invite you to Catch a Ride on the Mojo Train and help them fulfill their dream.
