Our dad Moises Diaz: Final gift to honor his memory

Donation protected
Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

I am writing this with a heavy heart to share the story of my father, who recently passed away after a devastating accident. My dad was an incredibly hard-working man, even in times when it was impossible for him to work. Unfortunately, on 12/31/2024, he had a fall that would change our lives forever.

The accident caused a brain bleed, which led to a series of complications that none of us could have ever anticipated. He went to the hospital, where he was placed in critical care. Over the course of nearly two months, he faced unimaginable challenges. Despite the doctors' best efforts, the injuries from the fall left him bed-bound, and pressure injuries began to develop as his body weakened. The road to recovery seemed uncertain, but we remained hopeful.

Sadly, the complications didn't end there. After surgery, battling relentless infections, being discharged to rehab facilities and being rushed back to the hospital, my dad developed sepsis, which ultimately caused his organs to begin shutting down. Every day, we watched him fight, but it became clear that despite the medical team's best efforts that they could not reverse the damage the infection had already caused. He passed away the morning of 2/25/25. He will not be able to meet his grandchildren who are on the way, nor will he be able to accomplish the goals he had set for himself for this year.

Now, as we have laid my dad to rest, we are faced with the unexpected financial burden of the costs that are left for us to cover.
We would also like to thank the Cabrera brothers for all their help during this time.

We are asking for any support, whether financial or through sharing this story. Your generosity would mean the world to us during this difficult time. Every contribution, no matter how big or small, will be appreciated greatly.

We appreciate your kindness, love, and prayers as we navigate this heartbreaking journey. Thank you for supporting us and for being part of our lives.

With deepest gratitude,

Francisco Diaz, Suzette Diaz, Rosa Verduzco
