Moh's College Fund!

I have had the immense pleasure of knowing Moh's big brother Mohammad for nearly 8 years when he and his family relocated to the United States from Kabul, Afghanistan. Mohammad is like a brother to me, and so his brother Moh is like an extension of my own family.
Moh, a gifted university student, was studying international politics at a university in Kabul when the Taliban took over Afghanistan and shut his department down, derailing Moh's dream of being a Fulbright Scholar, studying peace and conflict resolution and working for positive change in Afghanistan.
Through Moh's hard work, he has nearly been able to secure admission at a prestigious university in the United States to re-start his education, but- standing between him and his new university now is funding. Mohammad and I have cobbled together a little more than half of the funds needed to cover Moh's first year of university expenses, but we are hoping for our community- you all- to help with the remainder.
All funds raised will go through Moh's US-based brother and on to Moh to cover the cost of university expenses:
- first and foremost: they will satisfy the Department of State's financial requirement for a visa
- tuition not covered by scholarships
- books and school supplies
- room and board
- if there is any extra, to help cover the cost of Moh's plane ticket to the USA.

We are grateful for your support. This guy's going to change the world someday!
(A note about the photograph: the emoji over Moh's face is annoying, it's true. However, it's dangerous for Afghan folks to post photos of themselves on the internet and so to help keep him safe, it's necessary. Thanks for understanding.)
