Combat Vet: From Stolen Tools to a Global Community Platform

On December 17th, 2025, I faced a total professional loss when $3000 worth of my professional IT tools were stolen from me. Five days later, my daughter was born. I didn't have time to wait for a miracle—I had to build one. I spent the first weeks of her life at my desk, rebuilding 10,500+ lines of code to launch MohnMenu: a platform designed to take power back from Big Tech and put it back into the hands of local businesses and families.

My name is Richard Norman Mohn III. I am a Combat Veteran, an IT Infrastructure Specialist, and a father. I have spent my career building the physical networks that power our digital world. But I’ve also watched as those same systems have been turned into "extraction machines"—tools that pull wealth out of local neighborhoods and funnel it into a few hands in Silicon Valley.

Whether you are in a small town in Virginia or a bustling city in Europe, the problem is the same: Big Tech treats your community like a guest in its own home. They take 30% from your favorite restaurants, 60% from your drivers, and they leave your local organizations fragmented and ignored.

On December 17th, 2025, I faced a total professional loss when my specialized IT equipment and tools were stolen while in a company's possession, trial is in May (I could use a lawyer, I've drafted my own Bill of Particulars and Subpoena Duces Tecum, filing date is January 25th, I have substantial evidence to prove conversion and actual malice with multiple recordings, officer included). Six days later, my daughter was born.

Instead of stopping, I spent those first few weeks of her life rebuilding. I didn't just replace what was lost—I wrote 10,500+ lines of code to create a scalable, enterprise-grade architecture that can support communities across the world. This platform is 85% complete because I refused to let a personal setback stop a global solution.

I am building a self-sustaining digital loop that works anywhere there is a local economy:

MohnMenu (The Community OS): A universal platform where local businesses and organizations connect directly. No "30% Tech Tax." On our platform, the local restaurant keeps its revenue. https://mohnmenu.com

The Global Driver Coop: A radical new model for logistics. Instead of a percentage-based take, drivers pay a flat $0.50 match fee. This turns delivery from a "gig" into a sustainable local career.

MohnSters AR (The Proof-of-Effort RPG): A global augmented reality game that rewards real-world exploration. No "Pay-to-Win." You gain power by visiting local shops, attending community events, and staying physically active. It’s gaming that builds the world up instead of pulling people away from it.

Financial Breakdown: Building Scalable Power ($12,000 Goal)

To finalize the pilot and prepare for national rollout, I am raising $12,000. Here is the transparency you deserve:

$4,500 – 3D & AR Global Assets: World-class creature models and UI that work across all cultures and regions.

$5,000 – Scalable Infrastructure: High-performance servers to handle global data traffic and real-time transaction auditing.

$1,000 – Wearable Hardware Prototypes: The first 50 "Gauntlet" devices for our movement-tracking network.

$1,500 – Legal & Global Compliance: Ensuring our $0.50 fee model and cooperative structure are bulletproof for drivers worldwide.

*How You Can Help*

If you believe that technology should empower the person doing the work—not just the person owning the server—I am asking for your support. This isn’t a request for a handout; it’s an invitation to back the next era of ethical, community-first tech.

Thank You for believing that we can build something better, together.
