Dear family and friends,
Our brothers Wali Aar and Mahamud Abdisamad were involved in a tragic car accident on the evening of 10/12/2017 at the intersection of Penn Ave and 97th Street. They were Jump-starting their stalled vehicle when they were suddenly rammed by another vehicle, pinning them between their two vehicles and severing their legs. Our brothers are suffering tremendously both physically and emotionally. They’re currently undergoing extensive treatment at the Hennepin County Medical Center.
Our brothers are husbands and fathers. Wali is a father of 7 children and Mahamud is a father of 5 children. They’re prominent members of our Muslim Community in Minnesota, and they are loved by all in our community. They’re both religious men full of faith and accept what has happened. Our brothers are hardworking men. They’re the breadwinners and the main financial support for their families here in Minnesota and their families back home. This accident has caused a lot of pain not only for our brothers, but also for their families.
Our brothers are currently going through extensive treatments and will eventually transfer to a rehabilitation facility to learn how to face their new reality.
Both families have come together in this trying time to help our brothers financially. With medical expenses expected to go over $500000, we are also seeking the community support in helping our brothers financially.
We greatly appreciate any and all help we receive from our community. Our brothers appreciate it too and are very grateful for their community.
