Hello, I am Mohammed Ahmed, I have Haemophilia which is a inherited bleeding disorder that prevents blood from clotting properly and affects males. I was also born with a heart condition called Tetratology of Fallot (TOF) - a congenital heart defect which is a combination of 4 heart defects present at birth. The treatment for TOF is multiple open heart surgeries to correct the defects.

My surgery is a complex one due to my diagnosis of Haemophilia, this means I bleed a lot when I am injured so having open heart surgery is very complicated and life threatening due to the risk of me losing a lot of blood.

I live in Pakistan, you may recall a Gofundme from 2022 when I was 3 years old and I was raising funds to travel to India for my heart surgery. I have grown since then and I am now 6 years old and I am preparing for another trip to India for the next stage in my open heart surgery.

I need to travel to India for the surgery as there is no specialist hospital in Pakistan where there is a Cardiology and Haematology team who can work together to complete my surgery. I require 2 specialist teams - the Cardiology team to operate and correct the TOF defects and the Haematology team to manage my bleeding during the surgery.

The last few years have not been easy for me as after my first heart surgery I was required to take medication that would thin my blood to support my heart but due to my Haemophilia I have not been able to take this medication. When I did take this medication I had a lot of spontaneous bleeds that required treatment with factor 8 in hospital.

So here I am again to raise funds towards my travel and surgery costs.
