Mohammed Needs Your Help for Surgery!ムハンマドさんの手術代を集めています！

ムハンマド（Mohammed Shawky Shaaban Jalhoum）さんは、妻Sherihanと、三人の娘Hayat, Lamar, Samarと、2023年10月以降の過酷な状況を生き延びてきました。 彼は1948年に家を追われた人々の子孫で、難民キャンプの出身です。10.7以前はエンジニアとして働いていましたが、侵攻初期に妹一家を殺され、所持品もすべて奪われた上、10回以上の強制移動を強いられています。

私たち（サイト運営者のThi-Hoaと寄付呼びかけ人のめぐみ）は、それぞれInstagramを通じて、ムハンマドさんと出会った、フランスと日本の大学生で、GoFundMeやデモ、スタンディングなどを通じて寄付を集め、一家への直接支援活動を1年半以上、続けてきました。

そして2026年6月現在、私たちはムハンマドさんの手術のための費用を集めています。5月末にムハンマドさんは意識の喪失や激しい全身の痛みのために入院し、右の腎臓に直径3センチ大の非常に大きな結石が発見されたのです。しかし、結石除去のための手術に必要な費用は、3,000$（約50万円）という大きな金額でした。ムハンマドさんに医療保険などあるはずもありません。彼は日々激しい痛みに苦しみ、助けを求めるメッセージを送ってきます。学生には大きな金額でした。しかし、他に選択肢はありません。ムハンマドさんと日々連絡を取り合ってきためぐみは、一緒に直接支援活動を行ってきた日本の友人と3000$をムハンマドさんに送金することにしました。アルバイトで貯めた大事なお金です。しかし、激痛に苦しみ、日々過酷な状況に苦しんでいるムハンマドさんを助けるために、そうするほかありませんでした。

めぐみが送金する旨を伝えたのは、ムハンマドさんが絶望して手術に必要な書類を燃やそうとしていた時でした。これを書いている今、ムハンマドさんは治療中です。手術を受け、腎臓結石が取り除かれれば、彼の苦しみは少しだけ和らぐことでしょう。

みなさん、どうかムハンマドさん、彼の家族、そして彼を支えている私たち学生を助けてください。アルバイトをして貯めたお金が手元に戻れば、私たちは進学や就職を心配なく行うことができます。ムハンマドさんと彼の家族を引き続き支えていくことができます。今、私たちは継続的な支援が不可能になりつつあります。あなたの助けが必要です。少額からでも、寄付をお願いします。

Mr. Mohammed Shawky Shaaban Jalhoum in “Watermelon”, has been surviving the ongoing disaster since 2023.10.7., with his wife Sherihan, and the three daughters, Hayat, Lamar, and Samar. He is a descendant of the ones who were displaced from their home in 1948, and was born in a refugee camp. He used to work as an engineer before 10.7, but at the early phase of this “disaster”, he lost the family of his sister, stripped him of everything he had, and forced him to experience more than ten times of displacement.

We, Thi-Hoa and Megumi, are university students who met Mohammed on Instagram and have collected donations for his family on GFM, and did/ are doing various actions on the streets. It has been more than one and a half years since we have launched our dialect support action to them.

As of June 2026, we are calling for Mohammed’s surgery fee. He was hospitalized in late May due to loss of consciousness and unbearable pain from his head to toe, resulting in finding a three-centimetre large kidney stone. They told him that it would cost 3000$ (approx. 2600€) to remove the stone. Today, there is no such medical system where he is, and of course, does not have any medical assurance.

Though it was a huge amount of money for a student, we had no choice when Mohammed was constantly sending messages to call for our help in severe pain which he had to endure day by day. So, Megumi decided to send him 3000$, with the aid from a friend in Japan who was participating in the action. It was an irreplaceable amount of money we earned from our hard work in part-times, but we had no other way to ease Mohammed’s dreadful pain caused by the disease amid the disaster.

At the very moment Megumi texted him that the money was ready, Mohammed was attempting to burn all medical documentation, as there was no hope. Now, Mohammed is under treatment at the hospital. His pain would be relieved even a bit, when the surgery finishes and the stone is removed.

We ask for your kind help, for Mohammed, his family, and we students supporting the family. If we could get the hard-earned money back in our hands, we will be able to go on to our career without worries. We will be able to keep supporting Mohammed and his family. As it is becoming nearly impossible to run our continuous support, we need your help. Even a small amount of donation will make a difference.
