Innā lillāhi wa innā ilayhi rājiʿūn.
On 1st August 2025, our beloved Mohammed Isa Afzal returned to his Creator at just 19 years old. His sudden passing has left his family, friends, and community heartbroken.
Isa was full of life, laughter, and kindness — a young soul loved dearly by all who knew him. He had a smile that could light up any room, and he was always the first to offer a helping hand. His absence is felt deeply, but his memory lives on in the love he shared with everyone around him.
As Muslims, we believe that when someone passes away, their good deeds end except for ongoing charity (sadaqah jariyah — charity that continues to benefit others), beneficial knowledge, and prayers. In Isa’s memory, we wish to create a legacy that will keep helping people for generations to come.
We are raising £20,000 to build a mosque in Isa’s name. To ensure this project is delivered with trust and transparency, we are partnering with Ummah Welfare Trust, a registered charity that has built hundreds of mosques and community projects worldwide. With their experience and guidance, we can be confident this mosque will serve people for generations.
A mosque is one of the greatest forms of ongoing charity:
• A place where children will learn and grow
• A place where families will gather in faith and community
• A place where hundreds will pray each day, sending blessings to Isa with every act of worship
Every prayer performed, every Qur’an recited, every word of faith spoken within its walls will count as ongoing reward for Isa, long after his passing.
✨ How you can help:
• Donate whatever you are able — even the smallest contribution will make a difference
• Share this campaign with family, friends, and your wider networks
• Keep Isa in your thoughts and prayers — may Allah forgive his sins, shower him with mercy, and grant him Jannat al-Firdaws. Ameen
Together, we can turn grief into hope by building a mosque that will stand for generations — a lasting legacy of faith, kindness, and light in Isa’s name.
With love and gratitude,
The family of Mohammed Isa Afzal
