Mohammed Illegally Detained During Ramadan

Yesterday evening my husband Marc was helping our friend Mohammed move his barber shop to its new location. The landlords showed up accusing Mohammed of breaking windows. They had words. Next thing you know the ABQ police sent a swat team to the shop. The landlords called 911 and said Mohammed had pulled a knife on them. Everyone in the shop was Muslim, Black, or Brown except for Marc. The cops had assault rifles aimed at everyone as they were handcuffed. My neighbor called me and I ran down to the shop. The cops, 7 of them, detained the men for 45 minutes and then after hearing their eyewitness saccounts that there was no knife everyone was let go. If my husband wouldn’t have been there this would have turned out much differently.
He was on the phone with DA Raúl Torrez in minutes. This is what is wrong with the APD.
