Mohammed Hasan Ali passed away on September 25th, 2022. The cause of death was pulmonary fibrosis. He died far too early, as he had so much love and support still to give.
Anyone who interacted with Mohammed Hasan Ali has been impacted by the sincerity, compassion, care, love, and empathy that marked his character. His positive outlook and love for people were unyielding. His smile is something that we all know and love.
Whenever his children talked with him, he made them feel special and acknowledged that they mattered. After hearing all your stories about our father, it truly made us happy that he was able to make others feel that way as well. Not only was he a supportive husband to our mother, but he was also a son, brother, father, and grandfather to us all.
His love for people was not limited to the people he knew. This down-to-earth guy never boasted about it, but our father was a philanthropist. He devoted quite a bit of his time, effort, and money to many causes, including, but not limited to helping:
- Build orphanages and mosques
- Build communities
- To provide safe shelter for families in Ohio and Bangladesh
- And helping global populations in need of life's necessities (water, clothing, shelter)
To honor his legacy and extend his impact beyond his time on Earth, this fund will go towards the charities below, to which he passionately donated his resources.
Donations to the Sundura Furqania Hafiza Orphanage
- This is an orphanage that our father helped build in his home village of Sundura, Bangladesh. It currently cares for 52 orphans. This fund will help with costs of feeding and caring for the orphans as well as maintenance costs. This fund will ensure these orphans are cared for in a safe shelter.
Donations to the Chagrin Valley Islamic Center Community (CVIC) Fund
- Our father loved this community in Solon, Ohio, and this community reciprocated that love by giving him cherished friendships. They stepped in and gave so much love and support to our family when we truly needed it. Within hours, many community members that loved our father volunteered and assembled to help with prayers, funeral arrangements, guidance and strength.
Donations to the Omar Mosque
- Our father was very grateful for this Columbus, Ohio Mosque, as it was where he and others took their children to learn about Islam. In the 1980s, it was one of the very few locations that had classes that taught the importance of being kind, faithful, honest, committed, empathetic, philanthropic, disciplined, and thankful. We can tell you firsthand that these lessons are the foundation of my family and many other families. Among other services, this Mosque also has a Homework Assistance Program that helps kids who otherwise couldn't afford a tutor with their schoolwork.
