Mohammed Osama Atala's Story from Gaza

Hello, I'm Marissa from Arizona state and I'm helping to raise funds for Mohammed and his family. The bombing and violence has left them without a stable home. The money raised here will be sent to help feed them.

My name is Mohammed and I am a young man from the Gaza Strip. In this city, which has witnessed so much war and pain, we face new challenges every day, but we never lose hope.

Since the war began, we lost everything... I lost our brick house, with our memories, laughs and dreams. I saw it collapse before my eyes when I was helpless. I couldn't save anything... Even the childhood photo album stayed under the rubble.

Dad lost his job, mom can no longer sleep out of fear, my little brothers ask me every night: "Muhammad, when will we go home?" And I don't have an answer.

For years, my family and I have been dealing with daily hardships, including scarcity of resources, difficult economic conditions, and the destruction of war surrounding us. However, despite all of this, there is one thing that cannot be taken from us... *hope*.

I am not a good writer, and I have nothing to offer but these words... May it reach a loving heart, to a person who knows the meaning of pain when you have no choice. I am from a place that is not like anywhere. From a city where fire is not extinguished, and crying is not stopped, from the streets that no longer know anything but the smell of dust and blood.

My dream is to live a better life, to help my family, and to find opportunities that can improve our situation. Despite the challenges, I have always tried to find new ways to learn and grow, because I believe that knowledge and hard work are the only ways to achieve my dreams.

But today, I need your support. Every donation, no matter how small, can make a difference in my life and my family’s life.
