Mohammad's Battle With Leukemia!

On April 13th My best friend Kelsey, who has been like a sister to me and my cousin Mutasem, received the news that no parent ever wants to hear… that their first-born child has Leukemia!

Mohammad’s prognoses are favorable, but his journey to remission will be long and hard, as doctors are looking into at least 3 years of chemotherapy. Your support to the family will be greatly appreciated as it will lessen the financial burden related to Mohammad’s medical care.

Mohammad is 3 years old; he is funny, wild, free, and fearless, he loves to jump off high things, he loves eating ice cream, pizza & mac cheese; and just like any other toddler, he loves to run around and play with his friends. Those of you who know Mohammad, know that his smile shines across the room and that he will always make his presence known. He is obsessed with Paw Patrol, and Mickey Mouse, and loves to dance to a good beat.

It all started as flu-like symptoms, he had no appetite, he was coughing, had a fever, and random bruising all over his body. A couple of days later it did not seem to improve, his parents took him to the hospital and after several hours Mohammad was admitted to the ER. Doctors began doing a complete blood count and they found that his platelets and red blood counts were extremely low. Within 24 hours they had performed a Bone Marrow Biopsy, a Lumbar Puncture on him, and his first chemo treatment, all within 24hrs.

Mohammad’s journey has just begun, but he is resilient and brave, we ask for your support and prayers as we go thru this journey together!
