Catastrophic accident affecting Mohammad Younes

Donation protected
The Younes family is trying to raise funds for our son and brother. On Tuesday November 26, 2024 Mohammad Younes was involved in a serious workplace accident when a 2000lb wall fell on his lower extremities, causing catastrophic injuries. He had to be rescued from the 40 foot deep construction pit where he worked and was transported to a trauma center. After a series of gruelling surgeries he is in stable condition, but continues to suffer from this life-altering accident. The road to recovery is proving to be very long and difficult, and he is facing hardship every single day in the hospital where he will remain for an undetermined amount of time. Every hour of his day in the hospital is filled with excruciating pain, new medical challenges, blood transfusion, combating fevers and possible infections and he is looking at more surgeries in the future.

His life will never be the same again and his career is now over. Mohammad is the father of a young child (18 months old), he is also a stepfather, a husband, a son and brother. Mohammad was the sole provider for his family because his wife was recently laid off from her job.

Mohammad is worried for his family and their future and is unable to concentrate on his healing and recovery due to the stress of the unknown and the bills that are piling up as he sits unable to even move.

He is under great care at the hospital, however, once he is able to sit up and start rehabilitation he will need expensive orthopaedic devices on both legs in multiple areas, a walker and possibly a wheelchair and the expenses of all of that is unknown and will add up. Because of the seriousness of the workplace injury, there is an ongoing investigation and any employment insurance, if any, will take a while time to come through and and even then will only be a portion of what he made as a full-time worker.

Our family is trying to raise these funds to alleviate some of the stress from Mohammad and his family while he deals with this catastrophic life-changing event and concentrate on his healing rather than worry about the future.

Thank you for your support during this difficult time.
