It is with deep sadness that we share the heartbreaking news that our dear friend Sonia Akter has lost her husband in a tragic road accident last night in the Palmela area. She is now facing this unimaginable loss while caring for their 1-year-old son.

In addition to her grief, she urgently needs financial support to arrange for her husband’s body to be sent to Bangladesh, as well as to cover immediate expenses for herself and her child during this difficult period.

We are organizing a fund to help ease her financial burden and show her that she is not alone in this time of need. Any contribution — big or small — will make a meaningful difference.
