Hello and welcome to Moggie's!
We are a self-funding and independently run cat rescue charity. We make do not and have never made any profit as all raised funds go directly towards the rescuing, vets bills and rehoming of between 300 - 400 cats and kittens each year. Each animal upon arrival is taken to our vets for an assessment , flea'd and wormed. They will also be neutured before rehoming can begin. Before kittens are rehomed they are also checked by our vet, microchipped and receive their first vaccination. This process costs approx £110 per cat and kitten. We also offer help when the kitten is of age to be neutured.
Moggies began in 1993 and has relied on the support and generosity of local people but this year has seen a number of large vets bills and an increasing number of pregnant cats and kittens being taken in by Moggies. This has lead to funds being even more stretched. No matter how old the cat is or however much treatment is required ...Moggies will always give them a chance and under these circumstances would NEVER be put to sleep.
This year we are fundraising to help Moggies to pay their bills and to keep their work up and running. We are a mother and daughter team who have given homes to cats and kittens in the past from Moggies and want to make a real difference to this wonderful charity by setting up this Go Fund page. Having known Moggies for over 20 years ourselves we are keen to provide updates and stories on the cats taken into care..both past and present!!
Given how small Moggies is, we are unable to formally register as a charity but we need to raise as much as we can to give these cats and kittens a chance of survival and a loving home.
