Moe Dominguez Funeral Fund

Our family is sad to announce the passing of Moe Dominguez from cancer. We’re raising support for his funeral expenses and bringing his ashes to Costa Rica as a family. 

 

Moe was among many things quite the beautiful person. Talented in all things remodeling, he was a master of his trade. A passionate soccer player, he played often and coached and supported many teams and young people. A regular at Mayday Cafe, he was a lover of good coffee and conversation. We’ll be missing his easy laugh, his humor, his joy & funny conversations, and how he truly claimed anyone as his best friend.

 

He’s been an amazing dad, a hardworking partner, a supportive and encouraging sibling and uncle, and a loving newly crowned grandfather.

We'd love to return his ashes to our Indigenous territory with our family in Costa Rica.

We as a family are just overwhelmed by your kindness and because of your support and love we held a beautiful and intimate ceremony for Moe. Ari shared a eulogy, Kamu and Aria created a photo tribute, there was much reggae playing, and we were blessed by a pipe carrier's ceremony and drum music from Hoka Hey.

Grey and Moe's friend Paul brought us on home with "Sweet Home Sweet Chariot" with new verses just for Moe. We had a beautiful arrangement given to us with native Costa Rican flowers. Our family is incredibly thankful for your giving to have made that day possible.

We have bought our tickets and are traveling as a family to Costa Rica over the second half of December to spend Christmas and Dad's birthday with our family and bring Dad's ashes back to our territory. We know that it will be a meaningful part of our mourning and grief journey to return Dad to where he was born.
