
Modesto Hermandez funeral expenses

Modesto Hernandez 84 year old was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico on 02/12/1936.
He served proudly in the U. S. Army as a member of the 2nd Calvary Infantry Division from August 1955 and was honorable discharged in June 28, 1957.
On october 19, 2020 he flew to Newark, New Jersey for a niece funeral to confort his sister and family members despite of the dangers of becoming exposed himself to the Covid-19 Virus. As the head of family, he felt in his heart the need and duty to provide his greiving family with emotional support.
Sadly, while in New Jersey, he became illed and tested positive for the Corona Virus. For two weeks, he fought in ICU like the strong and proud Soldier that he was but finally succumed and lost his life on November 15, 2020.
He is survived by his children Modesto Jr. Pablo, Wilma, Magaly, Doris, Yoly, Wandy, Ricardo, Jomarie, Luisito y Jenniffer. He has a total of 49 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
He was a true hero, a man of great faith whom was loved by many. His family in New Jersey, will have a viewing to say their final good-bye. His body will then be transported back to his place of residence in Topeka, Kansas for a final viewing with family and friends. His remains will be taken to his place of birth in Ponce, Puerto Rico were he will be put to rest at a National Veterans Cementery. Rest in Peace Soldier!
