Hello, we are Model United Nations at Virginia Commonwealth University (RAMMUN). Model UN is an extracurricular activity in which students simulate debate as delegates of the United Nations. Through participation in this club, student members learn and grow while discussing global issues and practicing research and public speaking skills. Our team has the chance to send students to conferences, where they can put their skills to the test and demonstrate their learning with the opportunity to earn awards.
Attending conferences at the collegiate level is expensive, especially for a smaller club such as ours that is continuing to rebuild from a small foundation while receiving limited funding from our student government. Our goal is to send our delegates to conferences at virtually no cost to them to alleviate any financial stressors and allow them to focus on their research and debate preparation. Participating in these rigorous conferences gives our students valuable experience and an opportunity to strengthen their skills.
With your help, we can afford conference-related costs such as registration fees and lodging. For more information about our student organization, including financial records for full transparency of how your donation will be used, please visit our website: VCUMUN Campus Groups. Thank you very much for your time and consideration. We sincerely appreciate your help.
Signed,
