Shorewood Mock Trial Team

Dear Friends,

Our Shorewood High School Mock Trial Team has won the Wisconsin State Championship and needs your support to travel to Reno, Nevada for the National Mock Trial Competition!

After winning the state competition in Madison, our students now have the opportunity to represent our state at the Mock Trial National Championship in Reno, Nevada in May. We need your support to help send them there!

Mock Trial at Shorewood High School has a long history of passionate student engagement and dedication that has resulted in consistent success at the regional and state level. This year, the national competition will provide our students with an incredible opportunity to present their talents in front of the nation’s best.

Mock Trial brings out the best in our kids. Our student competitors often learn that they have skills and capabilities they never would have realized but for their Mock Trial experience. Over the years, many of our team members have gone on to study and practice law. But even for those who choose not to go on to pursue law careers, our Shorewood participants grow in self-confidence, analytical skill and the ability to speak persuasively and think quickly – skills they can apply to any profession.

Our Mock Trial team members are athletes, musicians and actors, and manage to juggle practice, rehearsal and performance schedules and excel in their other activities, too. They are a great, hardworking, bright, funny and dedicated group, and their dedication, along with guidance and mentorship from their coaches, has paid off.

Now you can help send them to Idaho to compete on a national stage! The estimated total cost of the team trip is $13,000, including the costs of travel, accommodations, and registration for the competition. Your donation can make a big difference for our kids, and provide them with the experience of a lifetime!
