Hello Everyone! My name is Kyle and last week my loving cat, Mochi, had a urinary blockage that caused him to require an emergency rush to the vet. Urinary blockages are extremely lethal and can cause death in 24-48 hours if not treated immediately. His catheter drained lots of bloody urine and blood clots from his body as well as sediment that had built up in his urethra.
At two-and-a-half years old with no prior serious medical problems, this was extremely unexpected. The expensive veterinary bills have been very difficult to sustain, totaling more than $7,500 in 4 days.
I was certain on Friday that I would be forced to put him to sleep. It was one of the most intensely emotional decisions I’ve had to make, and finally I decided to explore the option of surgery with a more reasonably priced vet upstate. The surgery would open his urinary tract Absolutely anything helps. It’s just too early in his life for me to lose my sweet loving boy. In the meantime I will also be selling some of my belongings in order to soften the financial expenses of his procedure. Thank you for reading!
