Hi, my name is Megan and I’m raising funds to support ongoing emergency medical care for my 1 year old husky mix, Mochi.

On Tuesday 4/18/23, Mochi was admitted to the MedVet Columbus ER, and subsequently the ICU, after having multiple and continual seizures. The seizures have left her unable to move and unresponsive at this time. As of this evening, her body is responding to the 3rd anti-seizure medication and has been seizure-free for over an hour.

Mochi’s medical bills for just tonight and tomorrow’s care have already cost $10,000 - a completely unexpected and debilitating expense. By her discharge from the hospital, this amount could exceed $14k.

Mochi’s vet shared with me that 75% of dogs with this type of seizure are euthanized within the first month, not because their condition is untreatable, but because the treatment is unaffordable. Mochi will be on anti-seizure medications for the rest of her life.
