Last Monday, I came home from class and found our dog, Mochi, vomiting blood. I rushed her to the vet, and she was given carafate to coat her stomach, which helped.

Fast forward to today; she hasn't been able to keep anything down. 10 minutes after getting her medication she puked it up, then puked several times after. She is not drinking water either, and we are terrified.

We still do not know exactly why Mochi is vomiting, but the vet is pretty sure she has a life-threatening linear bowel obstruction. Remediating this will be $4,000-$6,000 which we do not have. I'm in nursing school and not working.

My family is so worried about Mochi. We have no idea how to come up with the money to get her the care she needs. Asking for help is really hard, but I am doing this because she needs immediate medical intervention. We feel stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Mochi is our best friend, comfort, and happiness. Thinking about our home without our silly baby makes me sick. No pet owner should ever go through this. She's not even two years old yet.

I got an estimate for the funds we will need, which'll go toward X-rays, surgery, after care, and medication. Treatment would help Mochi stop vomiting and fix the root cause. Every donation, no matter the amount, would help us get her the treatment she needs asap.
