Mobilizing for Morgan – Five Years Later
To our cherished friends, family, and extended community:
Five years ago, your support carried Morgan and Quez through an unimaginable time. Through your generous donations, heartfelt messages, and unwavering love, you helped lift them when they needed it most. Together, we exceeded our initial goal of $40,000—raising over $53,000—and gave them the stability and encouragement to face Morgan’s diagnosis with hope, determination, and strength.
Today, we are once again reaching out—because the journey continues. Her cancer has progressed and she now requires chemotherapy and several rounds of radiation planned for the next several weeks.
Since 2020, Morgan, Quez, and their entire support system have been fighting every step of the way. These past five years have brought both hopeful progress and painful setbacks. But through it all, Morgan has remained a beacon of resilience. Her strength, perseverance, and ability to inspire those around her have never wavered. She’s continued to show up with her signature Morgan light—even when the road got rocky.
But now, as Morgan enters a new and more intensive phase of treatment, the need for support has grown.
While Morgan was able to work part-time for a while, her health has since required her to step away entirely. Quez continues to be a rock and pillar of support, but as you can imagine, the burden is immense. During this time of intensive care, we want to help keep them both focused on the treatment and healing process by helping alleviate some of the day-to-day costs of living that can distract from the positive energy needed to get through this period of time.
So, we are reactivating this fundraiser with a new total goal of $100,000, knowing that our incredible network can once again rally to make a difference.
Morgan's 42nd birthday is on July 10th, and we can't think of a better gift than a major showing of emotional support and financial relief from all of us.
If you were part of Moe’s Militia five years ago, thank you—your support was truly a lifeline. And if you’re just joining us, welcome. Every single contribution will go directly to Morgan and Quez to help relieve the financial pressure of this next stage. It will give them the gift of breathing room—the ability to focus fully on Morgan’s treatment and well-being, without some of the weight of mounting bills.
We’ll continue to post updates here in the coming weeks as Morgan continues her next round of diagnostics and therapy. There’s a long road ahead, but we know one thing for certain: Morgan’s spirit is as fierce and radiant as ever, and her village is still right here beside her.
Thank you for standing with us—again or for the first time. Your love, generosity, and faith in Morgan are what keep this fight going strong.
Lastly, we would appreciate and encourage any forwarding and sharing of the fundraiser to anyone you think we may have missed or would be interested in supporting Morgan and Quez.
With deep gratitude,
Moe’s Militia

Mobilizing for Morgan!
Morgan Smith Jordan embodies the saying "actions speak louder than words." She's perhaps the greatest cheerleader to never wear a uniform. She's made a living motivating others and making people feel better about themselves. If you're lucky enough to know Morgan and Quez, they're likely one of your favorite couples to spend time with. They love all of those around them like family, and making others smile is a natural ability they both share. They would do anything for friends and family, and are steadfast in their support of others always.
Now they need our help.
It was only one month ago with MRI results from a presumed rotator cuff injury which revealed the unexpected. The orthopedist knew the spots he saw on the bones near her shoulder were likely lesions, a common sign of the word no one wants to hear, “cancer.” And so began the next steps of myriad specialist appointments, more MRIs, pet scans, bone scans and biopsies all leading to the conclusion that verified the orthopedist’s suspicion. Cancer cells that have spread throughout her body.
Within weeks, Morgan was unable to keep working and medical bills started to pile up. We all know how hard both Morgan and Quez work to be the best in their respective fields. And they are! As independent contractors their successes have come from their own talent and hard work. Now, between the diagnosis, and unprecedented societal change in the wake of covid-19, their lives (and source of income) have been turned upside down. Morgan is prepared to fight the disease, but we're all aware of the financial costs that will lie ahead.
Now, Moe's Militia has been established by a group of Morgan's close friends and family members. We're Mobilizing for Morgan to help her as she starts the harrowing journey of kicking the hell out of cancer. As her cousin Christopher so poetically put it, “cancer picked the wrong [person] to mess with.” Not one to take challenges lying down, Morgan has already shown us that her fight against cancer is going to be one of positive vibes, cheerful outlook, unwavering determination, and a one-day-at-a-time approach from which we will all learn.
Just last fall in her wedding vows, Morgan promised that life with her would always be interesting. Knowing charming, adventurous, fearless Morgan, we all knew that would be an easy vow to keep. Getting a cancer diagnosis during a international pandemic certainly wasn't what she had in mind when she said those words, but she is a go-big-or-go-home kind of girl!
So, we are asking fellow friends, family members, and those whose lives have been positively influenced by Morgan and Quez for any donation you can make to help lift some of the financial stresses from these newlyweds. With everything happening in the world, we know it's not a convenient time to be requesting donations - but as they say, “cancer doesn’t care.” But you do. You all have already shown so much support and love for Morgan, Quez and our family through your calls, your texts, your funny stories when we all need some levity. Thank you for whatever you can provide to the fund.
The entirety of all contributions will go directly to Morgan and Quez to help cover mounting hospital and treatment costs, pay their bills, and keep food on the table. Your gift is considered by the government to be exactly that; a gift. There are no income tax implications to Morgan and Quez, and your gift is not considered tax deductible. Any sized contribution is appreciated, but we are asking for some serious help here. If you can send $50 or more without hurting your own family in these tough times, please do so.
We all wish we could jump through the screen to give Morgan and Quez a hug. Better yet, wave a magic wand and make this all go away. So for now, please help us support them in the best way we can without being there with them on the frontlines of the fight.
Morgan is the brightest light in so many of our lives. She has already been so strong in the face of this monumental challenge. Let's keep her and her family going strong!
Lastly, please forward to anyone who you feel may be willing to chip in and help! Thank you!
