My brother in law is 45 and in 2013 at the age of 36 is suffered a massive stroke on Christmas Day at the dinner table surrounded by is wife’s family and his own daughters aged 3 and newly born.

He was taken away in an ambulance to Southampton hospital with my sister and their new baby girl. On Christmas Day we had a call to say they were assembling a surgical team to operate immediately but it was unlikely he would make it.

He did make it but is fully paralysed on left hand side. He lost his peripheral vision, his mobility, his independence and his career.

He has had countless procedures and had learn to walk using the one side of his body that worked.

About a year ago they decided to buy a foldable mobility scooter which has been a life line for him. He has been able to attend family days out, go on walks with their dog Margo and pop to the local shops independently.

Last night after a day at Kew Gardens with his family his mobility scooter was stolen out of their car on their driveway in Gornal Wood.

We are trying raise enough money to buy a new scooter for Neil. Please help!
