Mobility Scooter and Home Aids

I am currently trying to raise money and save for a mobility scooter so that I’m not stuck at home any longer, as well as some aids and adaptions for around the house. This will give me back some independence and usefulness and will mean I can take some weight off Daves shoulders. He’s been working full time as well as caring for me 24/7 and looking after 3 kids, since the start of this year when my health situation recently diminished more than normal, although many of you know I have been battling Myalgic Encephalomyelitis for 12 years now. I was told years ago that I would probably be in a wheelchair by the time I reached 30 but I managed through sheer determination and will power to push that deadline back to the age of 39 until I couldn’t manage without one any longer. As you can imagine this has changed every aspect of my life more than I could have imagined it would, and as a result of this there are now so many aids and adaptions that I need to help me around the home and give me back some quality of life. It’s been suggested by quite a few friends recently that I start a ‘Go Fund Me’ and ask for help, but I have been too proud to ask. I am fiercely independent and don’t like to ask anyone for anything, but the time has come that I am having to ask for help please. I can’t leave our house in my wheelchair as I cannot manage the steep slope of our driveway, rough unadopted Lane we live on, and then I’m at the bottom of a dip, with every direction being up a steep hill A mobility scooter would allow me to do the school run and some shopping, as well as helping me to not go mad being trapped inside my 4 walls at home!!! It would be a huge help to Dave if I could be a little bit useful again - he’s been coping with so much the last few months and I desperately need to be able to help him again instead of just being a burden xxx
