Mobility Aid (Scooter) for Melanie!

Hello All!

First of all Melanie has no idea I am doing this, as many of you know her health has been a lifelong struggle. She has been diagnosed with both Lupus and Rheumatoid Arthritis among other things, which makes every day difficult to walk and do basic day to day tasks. 

Both diseases have progressed so she can no longer walk for short periods of time and can no longer go on bike rides with her son or walk her dog without struggling and suffering from pain.

Her husband Johny has been in between jobs as an Electrician due to the economy so benefits are limited.

She desperately needs a portable scooter/mobility aid. Unfortunately they are ridiculously expensive. (Average cost is $3000) 

As her sister I am hoping to raise some money to contribute to the total cost of the scooter. In a perfect world we would cover the entire cost.

Melanie has helped so many people in times of despair and need, I’m hoping we can pay it back and help her with this much needed piece of medical equipment.
