Hello beautiful people! My name is Thea Lund, weightlifting athlete and helper-of-people. When COVID-19 hit, I immediately thought of everyone now working from home, sitting on their couch for 90% of their days and starting to feel stiffer by the minute.

My goal in these sessions is to share the knowledge I've gained from overcoming past injuries that have sidelined me and offer more than just a tough workout to get your endorphins up. I'm ALL for a daily sweat but I know when it comes to the "non-sexy" physical maintenance work, it's so much easier when someone can lead you through it.

I do not expect to be compensated for these sessions but I do appreciate the love if you are able. Rest assured, these funds will go towards my future goals as a weightlifting athlete, resources to keep learning about techniques to increase our physical longevity and also to keep me caffeinated (this energy doesn't happen on its own).

What does MOBILITY mean to me...

To move freely and with ease—a pretty wholesome description you can find in almost every dictionary. To expand it a little further, the term “mobility” goes beyond just being able to touch your toes.

It means maintaining joint health for your long term goals
(inside and outside of the gym).
It means moving pain-free on a day to day basis.
It means feeling unlimited in your movement and choice of activities.

Your body is the only vehicle you’ll ever have. If you treat your Ferrari like a beat-up rusty ol’ tin can, it won’t run the way you want it to.

Start dedicating a little bit of time to maintain what you’ve got and you’ll be surprised at how fluid you’ll feel during your next workout or even doing simple mundane tasks.

What can you expect from MobiliThea sessions:

This is NOT a yoga class. If you’re looking for something where you can unplug your brain completely, you won’t find it here (hee hee). Every session I run is about 45 minutes in duration. They require both a level of physical and mental focus so you can get your body working in unison with what’s going on upstairs. If the wires aren’t connected to the controller, you won’t be able to drive your car really far...

I always include core stabilizing sequences paired with mobilization of the hips and shoulders. I’ll repeat a few of my favourites once in a while but you can count on every session being a new combination of movements.

You might get a little hot, you might get a little sweaty but if you’re into trying a new method of getting your body in shape—not curvy booty, summer bikini type shape—hop into my next live session and FEEL the benefits for yourself.

What other people are saying:

Thea's classes are great for the following reasons:

- She is a super nerd (in a good way) and keeps learning about all the best ways to stretch as a strength and power athlete. I am literally becoming flexible with the goal to become strong not just to be flexible.
- She is a national level lifter in my sport! This means she knows my mobility requirements and isn't giving me pre-canned, generic BS.
- She understands that we don't have an infinite amount of time to stretch because the point of stretching is to be able to lift. This has forced her to create a system that I can easily split up as pre-workout warmups and post-workout mobilization/rehab.

I’m a pretty average masters weightlifting, and one of my biggest weaknesses is my mobility. I started doing Thea’s classes and absolutely love them. I used to get so bored stretching on my own, doing yoga or random mobility apps but Thea’s classes are fun, super easy to follow, really engaging, and feel so focused and purposeful. I’m very grateful

For me, I really enjoy instruction on mobility. It motivates me to get my body moving. With your sessions, I love your positivity and bright personality. It brings enjoyment to doing mobility. You always have me smiling or laughing with you. By the end of each session, my body is thanking me for bringing mobility to areas I wouldn't normally stretch. Also, during these times of uncertainty, these sessions are mood elevators. Brightens my day!

Thea’s Mobility classes have helped bring a bit of structure and routine into my weekly quarantine life. Her high energy and sense of humble humanity make the classes flow without being too hard on yourself, and instead, celebrating the amazing fact that we can still move our bodies despite all the chaos of the world. I have also really enjoyed the isolated movements that work on specific areas of the body that tend to be neglected (especially coming from a weightlifting background). I am a fairly mobile person, and I always get something out of her classes!

As always, I am extremely grateful for your support whether it be sharing it to your friends & family, donating a few dollars or following along my sessions for a good tune-up!

If you haven’t joined in yet, I host them on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays at 9am PST. If you miss any, the sessions stay live for a full 24 hours after.

Thanks a ton and much love to all of you,
