Help Bring Everyday Accessibility to Clark County
Imagine being able to quickly make a space accessible without the cost, construction, or delays of permanent ramps or elevators.
What would that mean for our community? It could mean:
- A family finally able to bring a loved one home from long-term care for the weekend.
- A school concert where every student can perform on stage.
- A church service where anyone can reach the altar.
- A wedding or festival where everyone, regardless of mobility, can be part of the moment.
That’s what we want to make possible here in Clark County.
Right now, there is no portable wheelchair lift available anywhere in our region. When I first contacted Developmental Disabilities of Clark County in 2024, they shared that requests for this kind of equipment come in often—but no such lift exists locally. After extensive research, we identified the Mobilift CX as the most practical, durable, and versatile solution.
The Mobilift CX can be rolled into position indoors or outdoors and used immediately—no electricity, no permanent installation, and no architectural changes required. It’s compact, portable, and built to handle nearly any setting, from historic buildings to outdoor festivals.
Once purchased, this lift will be housed and managed by Developmental Disabilities of Clark County, which already operates equipment-lending programs for the community. That means the lift will be available for free checkout to anyone in the county—schools, nonprofits, churches, families, or event organizers—so that every space can be inclusive and welcoming.
Every contribution brings us closer to making this shared resource a reality. Thank you for helping us create a community that truly welcomes everyone.
