The Mobile Library Project in Mosul
Established in November 2024, the Mobile Library Project in Mosul is a groundbreaking initiative that brings education, hope, and opportunities to communities recovering from the impacts of war. This project equips a mobile library vehicle with books, digital learning tools, and solar-powered technology to provide critical educational resources to underserved populations in Iraq, focusing on children, youth, and adults.
The project is proudly supported by AGYA (Arab-German Young Academy of Sciences and Humanities), whose collaboration has been instrumental in driving this mission forward. AGYA’s commitment to fostering education and cultural exchange has helped strengthen the project’s reach and impact in Mosul and beyond.
Donations are essential to expand this project, allowing us to purchase a diverse range of books and digital resources in Arabic, English, and Kurdish, including materials for vocational training and individuals with disabilities. Funds will also enhance the library's solar power systems, ensuring sustainability and uninterrupted access to learning tools in remote areas. With your support, we can extend the library’s reach to more communities, cover transportation costs, and provide training for local staff to sustain the project long-term.
This initiative is not just about education; it is about fostering resilience, cultural preservation, and a brighter future for Mosul. Every contribution helps bring knowledge and opportunity to those who need it most, empowering students and families to rebuild and thrive.
