#MOBA91 Speech Day and Projects Fundraiser

Mfantsipim is an all-boys boarding secondary school in Cape Coast, Ghana, established by the Methodist Church in 1876 to foster intellectual, moral, and spiritual growth on the then Gold Coast. Its founding name was Wesleyan High School and the first headmaster was James Picot, a French scholar, who was only 18 years old on his appointment.

Mfantsipim is nicknamed "The School" by its old boys for the fact that it has been a Center of Excellence for over a century, and was ranked 66th out of the top 100 best high schools in Africa by Africa Almanac in 2003, based upon quality of education, student engagement, strength and activities of alumnae, school profile, internet and news visibility.

The school however has many challenges that threatens the delivery of quality education it offers. The school’s infrastructure has been significantly depreciated over the years due to many factors, including low funding, resulting in maintenance issues. This prolonged breakdown in the facilities has created some challenges in academic work and ancillary school life.

For this reason, each year, our school relies upon alumni  (Mfantsipim Old Boys) to help alleviate some of these challenges.
We therefore are soliciting your help for a donation to support us renovate critical infrastructure of Mfantsipim School.

No amount is too small and there's no maximum number of donations. All donations will be fully accounted for, and updates on expenditure and project phases furnished to all donors.

Your donation is much appreciated.

Thanks,

MOBA '91

'I want to raise a generation of men from Mfantsipim School who will be bold enough to face the problems of their own continent practically and un-selfishly'.

— Reverend W.T Balmer, former Headmaster
