Argus is just under 2 years old and suffers from Grand Mall seizures. His dilemma started last summer on July 9th 2014 when he received his annual shots; Rabies, Parvo and Bordetella. Within 3 hours of receiving his shots he had his first seizure. He appears to have had an extreme allergic reaction to the cocktail of shots. He currently is having seizures once every 12 days or so. To date Argus has had 17 seizures in 7 1/2 months.
We have tested him for everything from diabetes to Valley Fever but more still needs to be done to rule out anything that we might be able to fix. His seizures are getting closer and closer together.
Argus is now in need of a Cat Scan to determine if he has Valley Fever which may have localized itself in his brain which would not show up on a typical blood test. This test and the follow up work is very expensive and is in addition to his current treatment plan and routine testing any donation to help us reach our goal would be so appreciated.
Argus is such an amazing boy I need to do everything possible to bring some comfort to his life. Argus's temperment is so great that I was working with him to become a therapy dog for our local childrens hospital, he loves kids but now I need to find a way to get his seizures under controle so he can go to the hospitals.
I decided to post this page because today (Feb. 17th ) he had 3 seizures 2 of which were back to back. The seizures take such a toll on him, our only saving grace is Argus gets to come to work with me six days a week so I can be there to help him through.
Please help me find a cure for him.
