This is Margaret Compoi, Big Al's wife of 40 years. This past August 2014, the Love of my life- father of our children was diagnosed w stage IV liver cancer- hepatocellular carcinoma.
We are seeking assistance in fundraising for payment of Al's medications/medical supplies that run over $1,000 a month. Al' s retirement income is our only source of income.
My love was born in Los Angeles on December 25, 1956- a Christmas baby! He is number 2 of a family of 5 siblings- Al is the only boy! He was raised in La Puente CA. His family and friends lovingly call him "Fuzzy". We both attended the same high school where we fell in love and began our "happily ever after". Al graduated from high school in 1975. He then joined the Air Force, where he served from 1975 thru 1978 - we married and had a girl and 2 boy- Al Jr, Marlene and Tony- who blessed us with 7 grand children ranging in ages from 7yrs old to 21. All our grandchildren lovingly call him "Papa"- which makes Al' s heart skip a beat!
Al then began his only job at Alpha Beta in La Habra, CA- where he worked for 33 years- retiring in 2012. Al followed Alpha Beta to Riverside when it became Ralph's/Food 4 Less. Al was always proud to be a Teamster brother during his entire employment. My Love made many friends there- they all call him Big Al.
He loves to spend time w family and friends- he loves to bar-b-que, fish and visit with all. He loves sports- Raiders, Dodgers, Lakers and Kings! We grow our own fruits and vegetables and enjoy the outdoors.
So whether you know him by Fuzzy, Big Al or Papa, he sends his best regards to all as he fights the good fight!
He thanks all for supporting us during this chapter of our lives.
God bless.
