Adam Cox is a delightful young man with a wonderful personality, who has inspired and touched the lives of many people in his life. He was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor at age 3. He had whole brain radiation at age 4, and has had a total of 4 surgeries, as well as a secondary tumor in 2010. On Feb 5, 2015 he suffered a subarachnoid hemmorage. He was very lucky this time, as 50% of all who have this die. But doctors say the blood vessels in his brain are very damaged due to the radiation needed to save his life almost 30 years ago, and the likelyhood that he will have another bleed is great. They also discovered a small aneurysm on the right side of his brain. He has been in the hospital for 2 weeks now, and may need to be transferred to Duke Hospital for more extensive evaluation. His mother is his sole caregiver and recently lost her job of 14 years. She was able to find another job, but took a substantial paycut. She has been out of work now for almost three weeks without pay, and there is much uncertainty as to when and how she will go back. Anything you can give will be greatly appreciated, and may elimate the stress of wondering how the bills will be paid while she cares for Adam.
