Help Jameson Recover ❤️
Donation protected
Our names are Rachel Steinhardt and Lauren Stellato, we are sisters writing this on behalf of our brother, Jameson Steinhardt. Before we begin, we would like to thank everyone who has reached out to our family during this time with well-wishes and prayers – we truly appreciate every bit of it.
In the early morning hours on Tuesday April 19th, Jameson was driving home after his nursing shift at Waterbury Hospital to his apartment in Rocky Hill. Shortly after midnight, Jameson was hit directly head on by a wrong way driver on I-691. At around 12:45 AM our family received the life changing phone call and the only information being, “hit head on by a wrong way driver” and that he was alert & being taken to Yale New Haven Hospital. Within hours of being admitted, Jameson would undergo an abundance of various tests to assess the extent of his injuries. In an effort to protect Jameson and his privacy, we are electing not to disclose the specifics of these injuries, however he has been in great care for the past week at Yale New Haven surrounded by family and his truly amazing girlfriend, Kayla.
Looking ahead, Jameson will have a very long and strenuous road to recovery in the coming months, which leads us to why this campaign was necessary, and why we decided to ask for help after much contemplation. If there’s one thing anyone should know about Jameson, it’s his love for being active, and seemingly relentless “GO GO GO” mindset. Jameson is an excellent nurse, fisherman, United States Coast Guard certified captain, hunter, and lover of anything involving boats. He enjoys watching hockey, hanging out with the family dogs, and spending time with his family & friends. Most of all, he has been enjoying getting settled into his new apartment with Kayla as they embark on this new chapter together. One of Jamesons best qualities would have to be his selflessness. This shines through in every aspect of his life, and even now, he is worried about his loved ones and how we all are coping with this traumatic event.
This horrific accident will keep Jameson out of a job and source of income for the foreseeable future. Any donation made to this campaign will go directly to Jameson in an effort to help alleviate his rent payments, groceries, and additional support. No matter the amount, anything and everything is greatly appreciated as Jameson focuses on his recovery. Thank you and we greatly appreciate the love & support ❤️
