Our baby girl Aspen has been diagnosed with a tumor called a Wilms Tumor. She will be undergoing surgery to get this cancerous tumor removed, as well as her left kidney which is getting removed in this procedure. She has been moved to the ICU due to high blood pressure with that being said she will be highly monitored. This was very unexpected, but we are so grateful we caught it early enough to where it did not spread. Aspen will be going through chemo for the coming months. We are still in shock and trying to process this information while staying strong for our little girl.
We are not sure how long we will be staying in the hospital. We want to be with our baby every step of the way through this journey. Every donation, no matter how much it is, we appreciate. All contributions will go towards Aspen's expenses and bills since Trevor and I will be unable to work as we need to be beside our 6 month old through this time at the hospital . We appreciate everyone’s prayers and support. Aspen has a village behind her!
Update on my sweet little girl 8/12/2025
Aspen displayed remarkable bravery during her surgery today, which spanned over 4 hours. The medical team successfully removed the tumor, measuring 14 centimeters, her left kidney, and a small part of her diaphragm. Fortunately, the cancer was contained from what we have been told they removed some of her lymph nodes to be tested for cancer. Thankyou Jesus!!! Aspen underwent the placement of a port on her left chest, the insertion of a catheter, and the installation of a feeding tube. Aspen's surgical incision is 11 centimeters long. She currently has a epidural to avoid being in pain as best as possible. We are extremely grateful that our baby underwent surgery successfully with no complications. We are deeply moved by the love and support Aspen has received everyone’s prayers have helped us go through this challenging time. We trust that God will continue to guide us, and we are grateful for the Holy Spirit’s presence today we all felt it within our hearts. Although chemotherapy is on the horizon, our miracle baby is kicking cancers ASS !! We love you so much, baby girl!
My sweet baby Aspen got to go home today leaving the hospital feels like a gift from God we are so happy to be in the comfort of our home we are still monitoring aspens blood pressure it has been high we have to give her medicine but at least we can do that at home Aspen will be sleeping with mommy and daddy tonight we sure did miss moments like this we are taking things one day at a time and constalty praying the blood of Jesus over our little girl We certainly are not looking forward to chemotherapy but you gotta do what you gotta do please continue to pray over Aspen ❤️
Today has been an extremely challenging day, to say the least. The results from Aspen's tumor biopsy have been received and unfortunately, they confirm that she had a Wilms tumor which has spreaded to her lymph nodes and is currently at stage 3. We will be starting radiation and chemotherapy treatments this week the plan is to go in and attack the cancer cells as soon as possible. Watching my little girl go through this has been extremely challenging I just want to wake up from this nightmare 8/18/2025

Aspen went to two appointments today one with the anesthesia team and one with oncology we found out Aspen will be starting radiation Monday it will be intense radiation for 7 days straight she will be put under anesthesia each time she will be starting chemotherapy next week also once a week for the next 8 months we are staying strong for Aspen we love you baby girl ( They gave Aspen a iPad ) she will enjoy watching her little mermaid nonstop now
This is extremely raw for me to post today was Aspens first radiology appointment Trevor and I had to hold our baby girl down to get her port accessed which was challenging to say the least her cries broke us holding my sweet babygirl as she is put under anesthesia was almost to much to bear as soon as I left the room I broke out into tears this is so hard to go through staying strong for Aspen no matter what I know God has a plan for our girl her testimony will be shared to many
8/25-8/26 Aspen showed us exceptional courage as she underwent her first initial chemotherapy treatment yesterday. She slept for the majority of the day which is a common reaction to the dosage. Since this was the first day of her treatment we will continue to observe her body's reaction to the chemotherapy as time progresses. I am extremely proud of my baby girl. Today Aspen received her first radiation treatment which required anesthesia she resisted the anesthesia for as long as she could while looking at me I’m grateful I was the last face she saw before drifting to sleep. She was a little fussy once she woke up yet she did amazing aspens reward was a big bottle of liquid Gold !
We will continue to keep everyone up to date she will be receiving radiation till Friday then we will pick back up on Tuesday please continue to pray for our sweet Aspen

Aspen underwent radiation and chemotherapy however radiation seems to be increasingly challenging for our sweet girl particularly when recovering from anesthesia. We have one day remaining after that Aspen's radiation therapy will be complete. Chemotherapy has been extremely difficult almost feeling like a repeated emotional blow and stab to the heartThe latest test results indicate that Aspen's tumor is unfavorable which requires an intense chemotherapy regimen. Initially we thought the medication would be reduced but unfortunately that is not the case. In the coming weeks chemotherapy sessions will occur five days a week. Our faith in the Lord is stronger than ever Psalm 56:3 When I am afraid I put my trust in you

Aspen underwent chemotherapy today, and her port was accessed as usual however this time was different Aspen did not shed a tear during the procedure. It is heartbreaking for me to see my baby girl become accustomed to the needle being inserted into her skin as no parent wants to witness that. Following the hospital visit Aspen went home and slept for the majority of the day and has since developed a runny nose which we are monitoring while taking her temperature every couple of hours. We are keeping a close eye for sores that can develop in her mouth due to the chemotherapy. #Aspenstrong
Aspen began her second chemotherapy cycle today, September 17, 2025, which involved an extended hospital visit of approximately five hours. Aspen had her blood drawn to ensure her hemoglobin and platelet levels were suitable for the second round of chemotherapy. We captured the moment her port was accessed we wanted to highlight her remarkable strength and resilience as she refrained from shedding tears due to the big needle. Aspen received Vincristine, or "white chemo," followed by a heart-protecting medication and then Doxorubicin, also known as "The Red Devil." This is the day we have been dreading…Although this chemotherapy agent is potent and has severe side effects we remain trusting in God's control and praying for the treatment to target only the cancerous cells in Jesus Name Aspen will be healed !!❤️ Over the next few days we are going to closely monitor Aspen's condition, taking precautions to the chemos side effects this includes changing her diapers while wearing gloves due to the potent chemicals. Please continue praying for Aspen and our family we ask God to protect our babies heart through this process and to continue giving her strength

Something we knew was coming but wasn’t prepared for aspens hair is thinning it breaks my mama heart to peices I noticed last night while doing our nightly bath routine I hate cancer
Aspen received chemotherapy today, which included vincristine, also known as white chemo. A blood test was conducted to determine if she can continue with chemotherapy today. The results revealed a massive decline in her ANC levels from 1060 last week to 550 this week. If her ANC levels reach 500 we will need to admit her to the hospital this is due to the impact of doxorubicin administered last week. Monitoring Aspen's ANC levels is crucial as they play a large role in her immune system's ability to fight infections and bacteria. Therefore we will be staying home for the rest of the week away from everyone but momma and daddy we have to monitor Aspen for a tempature since her ANC is so low she can get sick very easily please keep praying for our Aspen

Aspen received four chemotherapy treatments today including the strong doxorubicin which made her extremely fussy and uncomfortable. She was not feeling well and became worn out. However we are thankful for the outstanding nurses at Children's hospital they have been amazing to us. They allowed me to record Aspen's port being accessed which we wanted to share to show what our brave warrior goes through. This is the beginning of her third chemotherapy cycle, and we are ready for it to be over. We love you Aspen
We kindly request that everyone prays for our sweet girl Aspen as her counts are high enough to begin chemotherapy with a schedule of five consecutive days of new chemotherapy treatments this week each lasting up to six hours. We are praying that she will get through this difficult time without needing to be admitted, as she is already not feeling her best today.
Please pray for Aspen we are on day three of our five-day chemotherapy regimen and Aspen is experiencing pain. Each passing day seems to bring increased discomfort. Trevor and I are deeply troubled by our baby girl's suffering we are hurting for you babygirl

Aspen is experiencing her first fever since treatment began. Our baby has been under the weather all day with a low-grade fever that has progressed to a high fever upon our arrival at the hospital. Her temperature has risen from 99.9 to 100.2. We are being readmitted to the hospital. We would appreciate prayers for our family, especially Aspen who remains incredibly strong as always
Aspen had to visit the hospital on this Christmas Eve morning for laboratory tests. We will have Christmas off followed by a five-day chemotherapy regimen from Friday to Tuesday. Wish us luck ❤️✝️
