Hi I'm Lynsey, in 2008 I married the love of my life and the best friend I have ever had, Dave.. 'My Dave.'
We have two beautiful daughters, Matilda who's 8 years and Annabelle who's 7 years. Sam is our loyal Golden Retriever.
We live in a gorgeous village surrounded by amazing neighbours who are also treasured friends.
Dave has always been my action man (he cringes when I call him this!!)
and I have always said that if I ever needed to entrust my life in anyone, in any situation, it would be him.
Dave has always supported me and been my rock when I have encountered tough times, now it's my turn.
On the 12th June 2017 my Dave was diagnosed with ALS - a severe strain of Motor Neurone Disease. He's 39 years old. We don't know how it will progress as every case is different. Dave is mentally strong, but to be given this news out of the blue.. well, not the best day he's ever had.
Coming to terms with the possibility of not seeing his precious girls reach adulthood is cruel to say the least, the thought of not having my Dave in my life torments me every day..
And that's when it happens, something inside adjusts ever so slightly and you come to realise that all that matters is now, as I'm writing this, My Dave is booking a caravan site for our next trip away, my girls are happily playing, and at this moment, my little family is safe, happy and healthy.
The most important thing is for Dave to be able to able to live a full, happy and independent life, he wants to take his girls for bike rides and go on adventures with Sam.
After lots of research I have found an amazing All Terrain electric wheelchair - Four x DL,  it's not not cheap at £14500 but to see my Dave happy is priceless.
I'm hoping to raise the money through charity events and I am constantly thinking up new ways of meeting our goal.
I'm also dedicated to raising the awareness of MND, and in September this year I am swimming the full length of Windermere (11 miles), all donations are going to the MND Association to help towards research into finding a cure.
If anyone would like to help My Dave buy his amazing wheelchair, please donate .. every penny counts and we are eternally grateful.
