MNDA KARTING at THRUXTON racing in memory of Neil
Donation protected
Hello, my name is James and on Thursday June 5th at the Thruxton Circuit Kart Centre in Hampshire the last ever Racing 4 Charity Kart Race to raise awareness and funds in the fight against Motor Neurone Disease will take place.
This Karting event has raised significant funds for the MNDA over the years, and this year's event is sure to be memorable for many reasons.
My good friend Neil Cunningham lost his own battle to MND back in 2016, and for one final time we will be lining-up to compete at Thruxton in his memory. Neil was a very special person, a superb race driver. Well known, respected and loved by many for his skills on the race circuits of the world.
Neil's career started in Formula Ford before he became a Eurocar champion (Britain's version of NASCAR) and then a regular in GT races in the UK and Europe - including contesting the world famous 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Neil's last lap was cut short by this awful disease and we compete to keep his memory alive, and importantly contribute much-needed funds to the MNDA an organisation that does so much for people who currently suffer from this awful disease that has no known cure as well as fighting to stop others suffering in the future.
